This is a wonderful recipe that I saw on Sunday Brunch a while back and honestly I was intrigued because of the beautiful black colour. It seems almost strange because of how deep, dark and intense the colour is but it truly tasted delicious. The colour of this black cacoa cake comes from the black cacoa powder which I didn’t even know existed until recently. Anyway when it comes to the flavour, it is like a very very mild sweet coffee taste but it isn’t overpowering at all. there isn’t a strong scent either, it was really moist and kept fresh for up to 3 days in the fridge because of the buttercream.
